Well, I think I have a few of them in the spare parts drawer
since they had to be removed to install the Newer Tech processor
upgrades I put in all the StarMax's. Everyone else was taking them
out too, so there should be lots of them around.

However, I agree. Given the price of processor upgrades these
days if I still had a StarMax I wanted to upgrade I would put a
faster processor in it.

And, I am one who puts little faith in numbers (On this
subject). When I put Newer 300 MHz upgrades in our little herd of
StarMax's the speed increase was sufficient to make me feel a whole
lot better about the StarMax's performance and now, a couple of years
later, we are still using all our StarMax's and, while we are adding
a 9600, G3, or G4 to the herd occasionally, our StarMax's still carry
the bulk of the load in our various organizations.

We have gotten our money's worth out of the processor
upgrades, even though we paid $350. for them back in the good old
days.
