WE did a bunch of real world tests at the starmax-talk web site last year.
Your 4200 will get 30-100% speed boost. I was very, very sceptical until I
saw the results. When they were $400-1000 they were not a good value. I
decided that a Newer 300mhz/1 meg was worth the money at $200.  The Metabox
JoeCards can still be found for less than $200.

They are very easy to install but remember to fully seat the card (i.e. push
really hard)

The Mac does freeze a bit more. Heat is not an issue.
