Are you both running G3 accelerator cards? I'm just guessing that your
computers are overheating, both from the fact that games are CPU
intensive, and that the regularity increases, i.e. the computer, once
hot, is likely to keep crashing, and more so as it the CPU gets hotter.
Try running something like SETI@home, which is very CPU intensive, see if
that causes a crash as well, and leave the computer to cool down after a
crash.
