I would get intermittent freezes on start up when I went to OS 9 (which
makes diagnoses tricky) until I replaced the Apple CD driver with the FWB
CD-ROM Toolkit SE v.4.
I think SpeedDoubler (and RAMDoubler) have "issues" too which may cause
trouble. I sorta recall having trouble with them long ago but got rid of
them. George
