Hi, I followed the link to David A. Schwartz site and it's surely useful for inexperimented users. These informations lacks for french users cause most of them don't speak english. Maybe I should put something in French on our Apple User Group Web Site ... any suggestion ? I would just add a note to the internal SCSI cable. Here in France it's difficult and expensive to contact Motorola US and get the upgrade, so I bought a short SCSI ribbon with three internal male connectors (one that I plug to the motherboard, another one in my SCSI DVD drive). I've replaced the third connector with a female one (you will need a special tool for this) and plugged the original cable in this female connector. To summarize, the ribbon goes from the motherboard to the SCSI drive, and finally to the original cable with the external connector. Simple and inexpensive (about $12 of components). I made this operation 6 months ago and it works perfectly without needing a circuit board or other electronic parts. There is no electrical or data transfert rate problems or alteration.
