We have one Starmax 3000/180 and one 550/200 in our weekly newspaper,
using Asante Friendlynet 10/100T cards and hub, to connect to a Mac
G4, Apple LaserPro 630 and HP 5000N and no problems for more than
nine months of operation.
Also have an adapter that allows three older reporter and column
writer Macs (one a 68040) to connect their appletalk network to the
ethernet, to transfer files to one of the first three computers and
to access the printers.
Works great, very fast (it's only a 10T ethernet, but coming off
Appletalk, it's a rocket to us) Hope that helps you
