Hafta thank everybody who told me what to do. I've ordered a Sonnet Crescendo G3/L2 400. According to the Sonnet site this gadget ought to motivate a StarMax 3000. And I've ordered 2 64MB DIMMS--planning to use them with a 32 that's already in the machine--or was that a bad idea? Along with 4 new or upgraded software programs, I've dropped only about $1266 on all this stuff since last Monday. None of it has arrived yet, but I'm sitting here all agog. I really hope they don't come packaged in any white powdery substance.
One little problem has surfaced: I usually set my clock by the atomic clock at the Naval Observatory, but lately it seems to be runing quite slow. I assume that means I need a battery, but does anybody know any specs or sources for such a thing as that?
