Yes, video cards should be in slot 1 or 2 closest to board. And in another game related matter; my son recently reported to me being able to play 4x4 on his SM 3000 w/joecard and Voodoo 3 after installing the game on his new big hard drive which wasn't playable off the CD-ROM. It's probably not a bad idea to replace those original IDE ribbon cables too. George
