StarMax do not support slave drives.
Set the new drive to Master.
Must have its own cable.
Mother board has ide and ata connectors. Both work as ide.
If your cdrom drive is ata, it will be using the ata port.
Some have freed up the ata port by changing the cdrom drive
to scsi.
No need to change  2.2g drive.
