Hi: I am probably the exception but I just wanted to note that I installed the new CarbonLib 1.6 and had numerous problems with my G3 upgraded Starmax. The worst problem was that I couldn't burn audio CD's without locking up. I reinstalled 1.2.5 and everything went back to normal.
Most of the problems seemed to center around finder actions, ie: selecting restart from the menu would freeze the computer and use of the reset button was required. However, in every case, I didn't get the improper shutdown message. Very slow startup and shutdown also seemed to be a problem. I probably should have read the instructions first but I had seen good words about the upgrade so I simply used the software upgrade route. No apparent permanent damage though. S.
