Thanks, Daniel, for the explanation. But more questions.... If I save an HFS+ formatted file to, say, a zip disk, can I read it on another computer that is NOT HFS+ formatted. On any compatible OS, or just 8.1 and over? What about reading a text file on a PC or Virtual PC?
May sound like stupid questions, but this could make the difference as it's a lot of work to convert the hard drive and if I cannot move or read files from one computer system to another, it's not worth it to me! nan -- StarMax is sponsored by <http://lowendmac.com/> and... / Buy books, CDs, videos, and more from Amazon.com \ / <http://www.amazon.com/exec/obidos/redirect-home/lowendmac> \ Support Low End Mac <http://lowendmac.com/lists/support.html> StarMax list info: <http://lowendmac.com/lists/starmax.html> Send list messages to: <mailto:[EMAIL PROTECTED]> To unsubscribe, email: <mailto:[EMAIL PROTECTED]> For digest mode, email: <mailto:[EMAIL PROTECTED]> Subscription questions: <mailto:[EMAIL PROTECTED]> Archive: <http://www.mail-archive.com/starmax%40mail.maclaunch.com/> Using a Macintosh?
