For those of you who have taken an interest in my ethernet plight, here are updates:
The card is indeed third party. It shows up in the Apple System Profiler, but the Profiler does not know what it is seeing, just that it is seeing something. If the first six digits in the 12 digit hex id number are the manufacturer's code, the card was made by TFL LAN INC. My mother, whom I received the StarMax from, has confirmed that the card was purchased separately from the computer. She is currently looking for the disk that contained the drivers. If anyone has any leads as to whether we should be looking for a CD or a floppy, it would be much appreciated. Thanks.
