This is normal. > If the first six digits in the 12 digit hex id number are the > manufacturer's code, the card was made by TFL LAN INC. TFL LAN Inc seem to have gone bust - Googling for it reveals lots of sites that link to www.tfllan.com, but that site is gone. In any case, you'd need to identify the model of the card to get new drivers for it. If you do have the old driver on the hard disc, try and find it, but I'm guessing now that you didn't upgrade the System Folder, but instead started over, and all old extensions are now gone. In that case, unless you can find the original driver disc or CD (which it would be, I don't know), you'd have to look at the board (which might mean removing it, as in mine, the card is in upside down, so make sure you ground yourself first). New drivers might be hard to track down, but the card could be something like a RealTek card in disguise, that is, a card that uses a chipset of another brand (often RealTek for Macs) so you might be able to use the drivers of whatever company made its chipset. In which case, you'd instead need the chipset ID (mine has RLE-8139 or some such on one of the two big chips on the board, which is the chipset ID and what I got the drivers for). - Daniel. -- StarMax is sponsored by <http://lowendmac.com/> and... / Buy books, CDs, videos, and more from Amazon.com \ / <http://www.amazon.com/exec/obidos/redirect-home/lowendmac> \ Support Low End Mac <http://lowendmac.com/lists/support.html> StarMax list info: <http://lowendmac.com/lists/starmax.html> --> AOL users, remove "mailto:" Send list messages to: <mailto:[EMAIL PROTECTED]> To unsubscribe, email: <mailto:[EMAIL PROTECTED]> For digest mode, email: <mailto:[EMAIL PROTECTED]> Subscription questions: <mailto:[EMAIL PROTECTED]> Archive: <http://www.mail-archive.com/starmax%40mail.maclaunch.com/> Using a Mac?
