Been awhile since I used Toast 4, but what you want is what they call a "Data" CD, which by default is both Mac OS and PC compatible, but there are other settings that can override this if not careful. What I mean is, when you select "Data," I think the window should say something about Mac OS and PC (Hybrid). No? That said, there are other considerations as to Windows long filename support that you might want to select elsewhere if available in your OEM version. But I don't think it would prevent your CDs from being read. Yes, it needs to be an ISO 9660 format CD. What does Toast's help say about it? > Which OS are you using ? I have 9.1 > Check your Ext. Adaptec UDF v 1.0.4 http://www.adaptec.com/cdrec The stuff in your Extensions folder has to do with you being able to read disks made by others, not making CDs. The second one mentioned (UDF) you'll never need unless reading DVD-format disks, FYI. -David -- StarMax is sponsored by <http://lowendmac.com/> and... / Buy books, CDs, videos, and more from Amazon.com \ / <http://www.amazon.com/exec/obidos/redirect-home/lowendmac> \ Support Low End Mac <http://lowendmac.com/lists/support.html> StarMax list info: <http://lowendmac.com/lists/starmax.html> --> AOL users, remove "mailto:" Send list messages to: <mailto:[EMAIL PROTECTED]> To unsubscribe, email: <mailto:[EMAIL PROTECTED]> For digest mode, email: <mailto:[EMAIL PROTECTED]> Subscription questions: <mailto:[EMAIL PROTECTED]> Archive: <http://www.mail-archive.com/starmax%40mail.maclaunch.com/> Using a Mac?
