Somewhere (Google for it?) there's an FCC web site that you can use
(supposedly) to verify by the chips on the RAM stick (not the
manufacturer's sticker, but the teeny-tiny print on the individual
chips themselves) as to what type of RAM you were sent.

I think the idea is to see what each chip is by code, add them up to get
the total MB amount.

Anyway I was thinking you might use this info as leverage to correctly
ID what you were sent in case they dispute it. Try sending a letter.
With photos. Try calling. Normally I'd expect OWC to first at least
listen to what you have to say. Good luck.

Just a thought: If the RAM slot got hot enough to melt the hard plastic
it's possible the pin melted off the stick, not necesarily having come
from OWC that way. That would be really odd.
