hello to all here,
Ive a little question to my starmax 4000/160 Minitower with 112MB. I
used Mac OS 9.1.
But first I will tell that my English are not so good, sorry. German is
my native language.
For some month ago I`ve changed the motherboard. I build in a new
(secondhand) 604e tanzania motherboard from a other starmax 4000/160
Desktop with 3 PCI slots, because my old board never startup. It comes a
sound a friendly smily, but it never can build the Finder, sometimes the
computer shows me error 12 sometimes it frozen before starts the
systemextensione. I let run Norton Disk Doctor 5, from a boot CD, and
the First Help from Mac OS, but the mac cant never build the Finder. So
I changed the motherboard and I never had problems.
But the new motherboard has only three pci-slots, I need 5 pci-slots in
further time.
Who know whether I can build in and use a 5pci slot riser without problems?
A lot of thanks for your answer,
martin.grellmann.
:-)
