Yeah, I would look into the drivers, because I don't see why it wouldn't work.  I use 
a Logitech wireless keyboard/mouse combo in the living room and it works fine.  I did 
have to press a reset button on the cordless keyboard and mouse once after booting 
up(I don't know if the MS one is like that, but check because the IR unit doesn't have 
power until the unit is turned on so that might be the reason.)  If not return it and 
get a Logitech, because they will work for sure!

To anyone considering one though, even though it says it has a six foot range it's 
really four feet reliably.  Mabye the Microsoft one is better, but they both have the 
same range written on the box.  It sucks because my sofa is exactly five feet from the 
unit and I thought for sure it would work.
