Why don't you just put in a USB card? They are pretty cheap, easy to install
and USB ports are pretty good things to have these days for a variety of
uses, like printers, digital cameras, networking. Can't remember which OS
you need to support them- is it 8.5 or better? There is also USB 2, which is
better for external hard drives and devices that need real fast transfer.
