Anybody using a flat panel monitor with their Starmax?

I recently bought a Samsung 17 inch LCD monitor (is that what you mean by flat panel?). Pure plug and play on my SM 5000. No software, cards, or adapters needed. Works OK.

I also tried a Samsung 17" LCD, but was unhappy with the color shift around the screen. There was no one place I could position my head that produced the same color and contrast from top to bottom as I moved a small photo in a Photoshop window around the screen. It was impossible to adjust the color balance on a large photo based on what I was seeing.

Also text wasn't as sharp as on my old ViewSonic 15" CRT monitor. I returned the Samsung and recently got a cheap 17" Samsung CRT monitor at Sams that I'm happy with.

I've been checking this color shift problem on any LCD I come across when shopping in large computer stores and it is there for every one of them except for the Apple digital driven flat panels (or at least not near as bad). But then these units cost almost twice as much.
