Is anyone running an iPod mp3 player from their Starmax, that is, uploading mp3's to it? I know the iPod requires a firewire port- the Apple site says it requires "built-in firewire" port for the latest ipod, and it also says it requires OSX, preferably a newer version. However, on an eBay auction I looked at it said OS 9.2 was required "for full functionality". I have another computer, an Apple beige g3 desktop, that will support OSX but I didn't really want to deal with upgrading it. I'm running 9.1 on both machines. I'm wondering if I can install 9.2 and a firewire PCI card in one of these computers and work it from that. Thanks George R my specs: Starmax tower w/ Metabox 233 mhz g3 card, OS 9.1, 256 mb ram, cd burner Apple G3 "beige" desktop w/ 433mhz g3 processor, OS 9.1, also 256 mb ram, Iomega Jaz drive
