Firewire works fine in 9.x.   The download is here 
<http://docs.info.apple.com/article.html?artnum=58642> but I seem to 
remember it was built-in to 9.1.   Check your extensions folder and 
see what's there (I'm running X).


I have been thinking of using the hack to install OS 9.2 to be able to use
Firewire, I don't believe Firewire will work with OS 9.1. Anyone done this?
Anything I need to know? Any particular way to determine which PCI Firewire
cards will work, there are some cheap ($16) ones at Frys?
