I wrote earlier for advice about using USB or PS2 mice on the starmax.
I found a factory refurb Logitech Trackman Wheel mouse on EBay. It gave
minimal functionality plugged into the PS2mouse port. It works fairly
well plugged into the USB card. The only way I have found to get it to
use the settings in the Mouseware software that was included is to
unplug and reconnect the cable after startup. Then the drive spins and
steps and the mouse performs as it should. I have tried it through a
USB hub also even though Logitech advises against it. I can tell no
difference in performance with or without the hub. Does anyone have an
idea how I might get it to recognize the Mouseware settings without
unplugging/replugging? I am otherwise pretty happy with the performance
but every time the computer is rebooted I have to go through the
routine.
Thanks for any help
Keith
