We installed the OS to a virtual machine and copied the files to a directory. I couldn't get anaconda to install to a directory either.

I have been having a fantastic time with Cobbler from the EPEL repository, network kickstarts, and Red Hat 5. However, I am completely unable to install the Read-Only Root file system because the version of Anaconda for RHEL 5 appears to be broken with respect to performing this type of install. I have tried to follow the FC7 HOWTO as closely as possible and I have run into problems that I can not easily resolve. Reference my email to this list on December 13, 2007.
