I have a problem (but maybe it`s not only my problem) The problem is related to CC license Some of the licenses (like CC used by identi.ca and set in status.net as default) are not translated (or for some legal reasons cannot be translated and use in other non-English speaking countries). So trying to follow a user on identi.ca I see:
Listenee stream license 'http://creativecommons.org/licenses/by/3.0/' not compatible with site license 'http://creativecommons.org/licenses/by/2.5'. The problem license is not just a translation one, as I mentioned above (I have an email response on that topis from CC). So my question is: is it possible (and legal?) to make an option for a user who want to remotely observe his/her friends on compatible status.net server? Is it possible to add "do you understand and accept both licenses?" on the page which display now?: Listenee stream license 'http://creativecommons.org/licenses/by/3.0/' not compatible with site license 'http://creativecommons.org/licenses/by/2.5'. _______________________________________________ StatusNet-dev mailing list [email protected] http://lists.status.net/mailman/listinfo/statusnet-dev
