Identi.ca folks, I hate to say it but your QA seems to suck.
We do actually put some time and effort into QA'ing the service, but
it's a big and complex site. We provide quite a few services that aren't
available anywhere else, including posting by XMPP.
We simply can't replicate the diversity of XMPP clients, Web API
clients, browsers, and crawlers that exist "in the wild".
identi.ca has such a big potential, but these quality problems really
start hurting your street credibility.
How can we help?
That's a great question. Obviously, more developer effort would be
great. More people installing and testing the tip of the developer
stream is awesome.
From a user perspective, being patient with us when identi.ca is
upgraded is one of the biggest things. Reporting bugs when they come up
is another. Realizing that upgrade times are hard for everyone, and that
we really do care about fixing problems.
