I guess the tasks could be anything: the most important is that it should be quite self-contained so that a student can manage to find his way through the code quickly, and small enough to be feasible in 3 months. Also it's probably best if the task involve something impressive to show so that it's rewarding :) I think we should really take this opportunity to bring new talented developers to become long term contributors to our project. > Shall I add the "satellite shadow on parent planet" task? Yes it's also a good task, maybe it could be merged with a more general improvements for planet rendering (the code related to that is a bit crappy right now). Who of you guys can/want to be Mentor? This takes quite some time to take care of a student seriously, I guess something like 4 hours a week, and probably more at the beginning to prepare nice guidelines. It contains a definitive record of application performance, security threats, fraudulent activity, and more. Splunk takes this data and makes sense of it. IT sense. And common sense. http://p.sf.net/sfu/splunk-d2d-c2 _______________________________________________ Stellarium-pubdevel mailing list [email protected] https://lists.sourceforge.net/lists/listinfo/stellarium-pubdevel
