Which reminds me, Simone and I briefly discussed a possible solution, and
he said he'd send me a beta version to test if it worked.  I think I
was pretty busy at that time though, and I kinda forgot about it.

So, Simone, was the change implemented in v3.8?  If not, perhaps you
could send me a version with the possible fix and I'll test it to see if
it works.
