Thanks, works now. Since I'm using AKJFIF.datatype �'m able to
make some stfax-specific configuration, so i don't have to switch
between 8 and 24 Bit !

It seems so : When switching to debug, the problem has gone :-)
Every other setting leads to the problems. I can live with
the "debug"-setting, are you still interested in the logfile ?
I guess i'm ready to upgrade to 4.0 now..
