Hi,

I've got a new 3Com U.S.Robotics 56K Voice Pro modem (the grey one with
the big round speaker on the top) to replace my old ZyXEL Elite 2864.
I've tried to use the voice capability with STFax, but the recordings
are bad (low quality with white noise) and STFax seems to have problem
to initialize the modem, particularly when I try to record my own
greetings and voice samples.

There are three U.S.Robotics modem init strings in the STFax list and no
one seems to be the best one for my modem. Should I set up my own init
string or should I select another one? I can I do that? Can you suggest
an init string for this modem?

BTW, I've tested this modem with my Windows PC/ WinFaxPro and it works
very well. But I hate WinFax and the Windows environnement and I would
like use STFax instead.

Kind regards,
