Hi, this is an open request for help. Recently I "acquired" some
'badware' when I downloaded an upgrade of Adobe. I guess I was
unwittingly in a non official Adobe site and I ended up w/ some bad
s**t. I had continuous pop ups telling me my computer was
infected....the pop ups were right! I was infected by the software
seller that wanted to direct me to their spyware/virus detection
software.

THE COMPANY that the pop ups lead me to (and that explorer would
occasionaly automatically direct me to on occasion, without me even
opening the browser) is YEWGATE Ltd. out of London England.

The company looks alot like a Microsoft official site, which confused
me!

I finally threw in the towel and purched a spyware detection program
that identified it and eliminated it (I think)

The problem I now face, and I don't know if it's a result of something
still in my computer, is that when I do a Google search and I click
the heading of a site I get redirected to another site. Usually a
search site. If I click the address line at the the bottome it usually
takes me to the proper site though. It's a real pain.

CAN SOMEBODY HELP ME?

Thanks in advance!

Cheech
