Wow! that's a long time .. can someone from Google comment on whether being
detected as hosting malicious code leads to de-referencing from the search
index? Is there any public policy regarding this?

I did find Matt's comments on something similar at
http://www.mattcutts.com/blog/search-results-in-search-results/
