Thanks for the quick response.

I did upgrade meanwhile to nv116 (113 doesn't seem to be published).
Unfortunately, that changes, but not fixes the problem.
stmsboot doesn't claim anymore that MPxIO were not enabled, but
instead now only states that no STMS devices were present:
--8<--
r...@x13:~# stmsboot -L
stmsboot: No STMS devices have been found
-->8--
and
--8<--
r...@x13:~# stmsboot -D fp -e
STMS is already enabled. No changes or reboots needed
r...@x13:~# mpathadm list initiator-port
Initiator Port:  2101001b322fe020
Initiator Port:  2100001b320fcf20
Initiator Port:  2101001b322fcf20
Initiator Port:  2100001b320fe020
r...@x13:~# mpathadm list lu
r...@x13:~# luxadm probe

Found Fibre Channel device(s):

So how do I get from recognized FC HBA and LUs to multipath'ed
devices? That doesn't seem described in the documents listed above
(there mpathadm seemingly magically lists the LUs once MPxIO is
enabled). I must be missing something.

Hi Guenther,
Could you send me (privately) the contents of your /etc/mpxio
directory, and the output from "prtconf -v" please.

thankyou,
James
