Having discovered the raidctl utility (finally!!!), it appears that the controllers are behind on firmware version: lo...@dev-storage-01:/# raidctl -l 4 Controller Type Version ---------------------------------------------------------------- c4 LSI_1068E 1.26.00.00 lo...@dev-storage-01:/# raidctl -l 5 Controller Type Version ---------------------------------------------------------------- c5 LSI_1068E 1.26.00.00 Current version on LSI's site is 1.29.0.0. http://www.lsi.com/storage_home/products_home/host_bus_adapters/sas_hbas/lsisas3081er/ Does this sound like the cause of the issue I'm seeing on both of these machines? Anyone with specific recollections about this level of firmware? Secondarily, it appears that I can update the firmware using the raidctl utility for these controller cards. Can someone confirm the procedure? (Is single-user mode required, or quiesce the controllers somehow?) -- paul _______________________________________________ storage-discuss mailing list [email protected] http://mail.opensolaris.org/mailman/listinfo/storage-discuss
