[SLU] Install - no CD-ROM!

Trying to install "rain" onto a Dell OptiPlex Gs  (P133, 64mb RAM, 32x IDE
CD-ROM, 2gb IDE HD) and getting the "cannot find CD-ROM" failure after the
SCSI and (I presume) IDE scans.

Any suggestions?

New to Linux, 5 years Unix.
