Hey,
I've got the boot messages screen image on my iMac at work, since I made
the graphic :). Email me at [EMAIL PROTECTED] if you want the image, but
I couldn't help anyone get the boot messages image into a new kernel. The
legendary Stephen "sness" Ness (http://www.sness.net) wrote that in there,
but he's working on the human genome project now.
It's not certain whether the boot messages screen will be in the next
release of Storm Linux yet either, since no one at Stormix has expertise in
that particular patch of code right now. We'll still have the graphical
Lilo image for sure though. I know it's pretty easy to change the start-up
image on the Mac, but it's more necessary on the Mac, since you end up
staring at the screen a few times a week when the OS crashes. Since I leave
my Linux box running, I only get to see the start-up screen once every few
months :)
