I don't think so -- it happened also when doing a text-based install.  
As a matter of fact, while the 'rain' release wouldn't work with the 
graphical install, when I tried it with 'hail' it worked fine... until the 
stall at "No PCI devices found" spot.  Same stall, same place, 
same bat time... :)  But thanks!
