Hey group. Glad you're back! ;-)
Here's a copy of an e-mail I sent a storm compatriot earlier today
when the list was 'down'. If anyone else has an idea what I can do
to get hail on my old machine, do tell!
_________

Okay, here I go. I've been running 'rain' for a couple of
months just fine! I wanted to install 'hail' (downloaded and
burned the image on cd) but very early it checks for devices on
my system then says "No PCI devices found" and prompts me to
click either 'help' or 'next'. This is a similar step that takes
place on 'rain'. I click next (because it's correct -- there are
no other devices on my machine) and it hangs. I tried again and
clicked 'help' but it still hangs there.
This didn't happen when installing 'rain'. What do I do? I've
tried both the graphical and text installs.
By the way, I'm running it on a 486-DX4-S (blazing speed!)
with a Trident GUI9440 vid card. CD-ROM works fine. 10 G
harddrive. Like I said, 'rain' is working fine on this system (as
is redhat6.2) so I'm not sure what the 'hangup' is.
I love storm and want hail! :) Thanks again, gang!
