It doesn't have to be the CD ROM, just change the ftp source to point to
HAIL instead of rain. Usually, just leave it at STABLE and all will work
out. But you can add a CD ROM source, that's how I did it during initial
beta testing.
then you run:
apt-get update
apt-get dist-upgrade
pay careful attention to the messages and the update should go smoothly.
HOWEVER: word of caution. I had problems getting the new Storm Package
Manager to work under a user account (even after using the gtksu util) and
SAS doesn't work for me at all.
I mentioned this during the beta testing but have not yet received a message
on how to fix it so that SAS works again. YMMV however.
to Stormix: Can you PLEASE fix that bug. I want to use SPM and SAS even
though I used apt-get dist-upgrade to upgrade to hail. I should NOT have to
reinstall just to gain access to those tools. Please let me know what the
fix is and if you need more info. I reported this bug several times during
the beta test and never received a reply.
