I didn't really see the need for it in KDE, but what you might want to try
is jaZip. Check your storm package manager for the install. You might also
go to
www.scripps.edu/~jsmith/jazip/
since they have window manager icons for jaZip, install and configuration 
FAQs, etc. It is supposed to support both Jazz and Zip drives. If it works
for you, let me know if is as good as it claims to be.
