I'm checking. However, I would have thought that doing the apt-get upgrade
would have done that already. I did note however that 5 packages where "kept
back" but I have no idea what they were or how to find out what they were,
and thus why there were kept back.

Stormpkg reports my installed version of SAT is 2.6.17 and the latest on the
server is 2.6.32 (as you state). I'm very surprised this didn't update when
I issued the apt-get update; apt-get upgrade. In fact, even in stormpkg, I
have to click INSTALL for it to update. I'd love to know what the other
packages where that were "kept back" too.

ok, trying SAS again...

works in the root account. now trying my user account...

works also!!! yaaaaayyyy! This fixes the biggest bug (and frustration) after
the upgrade from rain.

One thing though. when I launch the Network Settings module, it doesn't seem
to know about my network, though the box comes up and connects fine. Just
SAT doesn't seem to be reading the data that is already there from the hail
upgrade.

ideas?
