I'm trying to get pppoe working to enable my new DSL connection. I've
installed the package and read the man page and can run it. When I do,
I see:
root@rjw: pppoe
pppoe: ioctl(SIOCGIFHWADDR): No such device
Step 2 of the HOWTO says to run ifconfig eth0 to assure that the ethernet
card is working; mine isn't.
root@rjw# /sbin/ifconfig eth0
eth0: error fetching interface information: Device not found
Can anyone suggest what I need to do to cofigure my ethernet card? TIA
