Best way to go about it IMHO since you have a linux install
  Grab the kernel-source-2.2.16 from
ftp.stormix.com ,compile a kernel that has support for
old-cdrom-interfaces ,strip-it down to only what you need(don't forget
the support for initial ramdisk initrd ,minix ,vfat ,dos ,kernel module
autoloader) and replace the kernel on the boot floppy.

Easier than running around trying to find a boot image that will work.
If you have problems with it mail me and I'll find some time by
wednesday
to compile a kernel for you and maybe make a boot image.
