Go to the Gnome start button and open up Panel/Global Preferences. Go to
the Menu tab and you can configure which menus are visible - you can
disable the KDE menu if you wish.

On my system it is in the 'Debian' menu under Apps/Net. Make sure the
Debian menu is marked as visible in the panel config.

The Helix stuff is installed using apt-get. If you wish to have the
latest packages from Helix Gnome just add this line to your
/etc/apt/sources.list:
deb http://spidermonkey.helixcode.com/distributions/debian unstable main
The rpm guys really need Helix Installer because they have nothing as
advanced at apt-get.
Hope this helps.
