I've compiled tulip.o and the needed pci-scan.o source on a Hail
installation. I have a couple questions:
What kernel are you running?
What do you get when you do a lsmod?
Have you tried to install the module using modconf (as root), and what
happens?
I can give you a whack of instructions to do this, if you need them, but
after much mucking about, I was able to revert to the stock driver and
everything worked. I'm not sure if I did something wrong the first time
around, or not. Anyway, I keep copious notes, so let me know...
