Thanks for the help with the Storm 2000 problems. I did use the product for
2-3 weeks and I am convinced the problem lays with a corrupt CD that was
burned from an ISO image. This became evident from the last install when part
of the installation menu looked like hieroglyphics from the pyramids of Egypt.
Another clue was Carl's comments about my problem in loading the Storm Package
Manager Carl writes "hmm, strange error from stormpkg. I'm not sure why
stormpkg would need access to /dev/dsp (dsp=digital signal processor used by
many soundcards)"
I was so impressed with the Debian features that I ordered the retail version
from Vancouver this afternoon. The apt and dpkg features are awesome.
I should be able to take advantage of the tech services since I am familar with
the product. Hopefully I should be able to get that external Zip Drive
functioning.
