Afternoon Folks,
hrms... seems I am sending a lot of email to this list. Well, gotta love Open
Source Software.
I am trying to configure MailStudio @message 2000 on a Hail 2.02 box. The
documentation for @message states that it has only been tested on RedHat,
Caldera and TurboLinux. To add further insult to injury, one of their staff
members states in a response to a question about the install failing under
Linux that MailStudio has NO plans to port at ANY other flavor of Linux. So,
without picking up a phone a screaming down a copper line, not to mention
it's not the most diplomatic thing to do, I thought I'd confirm a question
before I post to the @message list to bitch about their install program. BTW,
the Stormix crew who reads this. You guys/gals could teach these people a
thing or two about install programs.
Does Hail 2.02 install MD5 by default? I have gone through and looked at my
installed packages and can't see a sign of it anywhere. I assume, that MD5 is
not installed, and it's a bug in the @message install script.
Onto other somewhat related issues. The new appliance looks very sweet. Does
anyone at Stormix know if it will be possible to install @message on one of
these? MailStudio has confirmed that it is NOT possible to install their
software on a Cobalt appliance, and this software package is a very sweet
setup (for what it is).
Cheers,
