in the process of running an upgrade, I was going through the config for
pcmcia.... I came to the part regarding whether to suspend/resume,
eject/insert or do nothing... i had three choices, having to do with
editing /etc/pcmcia/apm.opts...

"What do you want to do on APM suspend/resume events?

1) Automatically suspend/resume
2) Automatically eject/insert
3) Nothing (default)"

I chose 3.

here was the result:

"Errors were encountered while processing:
mid
dialupmod
E: Sub-process /usr/bin/dpkg returned an error code (1)"

and I was returned to the prompt...

what happened?

can I fix it?

J.
