'setting up dsl', is usualy just setting up a standard tcp/ip network
connection, unless you're stuck with some stupid PPPoE setup.    anyhow, you
can do this through SAS.  if you have an external dsl router, it's fairly safe
to say, that you have a bridging connection.

yup.    i stopped using storm actually, and i'm using straight debian now.  the
difference is really minimal.   basicaly, no SAS, or storm package manager. 
and since i did all that from the command line anyhow, no loss.  but...  this
mailing list is nicer.  the debian list is a bunch of snobs.

anyhow.. yeah, charging for an update utility, JUST to update security packages
and stuff...  sounds a lot like it might be M$'s next 'inovation'.  apt-get
makes package management really simple.  and really nice.   i moved away from
redhat based distros because of their package management system.    i would not
suggest using it.

however... if you've already used redhat in the past, and are comfortable with
it.  then by all means, go with redhat if thats what you know.   there's
nothing really wrong with it, it just doesn't fit many of our styles.
