well, gosh, what are we having this conversation for then? Microsoft is the
market leader, with 92% of the desktop market. 4% Apple, and the last 3% is
split between, Linux, BSD, Be, and OS/2.
another key word here is 'market', as in, selling things. debian has never
sold for a penny in it's life. so, it's hard to have part of the market, when
you don't sell a retail product. ever.

at this stage, you probably wouldn't you may choose to go straight debian
down the line someday if you want to trim your system down to the bare minimum.
