Thanks for that Erik, I'll see if I can give it a go tonight.  My card is an
Abit one based on the HPT366 chipset, but hopefully the support should be there
the same.  Does this kernel have the ATA66 support compiled in, or is it just
modified enough to work with ide ports on a card?

I normally go for a custom install, but now you come to mention it I seem to
remember that last time I installed Storm (v1.0 I think), it didn't have a
custom install option, does it still not have one?  (Actually that's not
strictly accurate, I installed a version on my old AMD K6-200 just before
Christmas, but I threw it on in a hurry and can't remember what the install
screens were!).
